During the day you might not see many frogs, but at night you hear the many frog species around Chalalan. This McDiarmid’s rocket frog (Allobates mcdiarmidi) was still at it well into the morning, as you can see.
I spotted this one alongside the trail leading to and from the Tuichi river.
This is a lucky find of a species that is now critically endangered!
