Chamaecostus acaulis has an incredibly fragile inflorescence. It’s a kind of ginger and is edible.
I found them in many dense groups on the jungle floor not far from where the landscape is rising towards the walls of the Huanchaca Plateau (also called Caparu Meseta (Meseta de Caparú)).
Native range is Bolivia and Brazil.
