I found many butterflies around the dark forest floor of the forest surrounding the Amazon Research and Conservation Center (ARCC). Many are so well camouflaged that they are invisible when the rest on leaf litter. Some, like this one, are very visible when they sit in the few rays of sunlight passing through the canopy and they hit bright patches on the wings.
