South American Sea Lion (Otaria flavescens)

Ballestas Islands off Paracas in Peru is one of very few protected areas of the Puruvian coast, and it’s teaming with life.

This group of South American sea lion (Otaria flavescens) seems to relax and enjoy each others company. That is except one. For some reason this individual is snapping at one or more seals. I did not find out why. Nonetheless, it’s an interesting moment of a disharmonic behaviour in a sea of calm.
