Socotra is still vibrant with life after the generous winter rains this year. Perhaps it is due to the La Nina, and this will be the best winter rains in a few years.
This Purple-throat Morning Glory (Ipomoea sinensis) was large and vibrant, a sign of plenty of moisture. In a year of drought the growth will be stunted, and likely droopy or withered at this time of year.
Native range is Tropical & Subtropical Old World.
