Commiphora ornifolia

Commiphora ornifolia is almost without exception found growing alone. Even though it grows seeds, any seedlings are eaten by the goats. This individual stands atop a limestone hill, with a view over a now green landscape with perennenials and annuals growing to their potential, after plenty of rain for many weeks. It is a rare sight to behold.

Elevation: 525 meters.

Commiphora ornifolia is endemic to Socotra.
